What do I need to bring to float?

You don't need to bring anything; we provide everything you need to float!

We will provide you with slippers, towels, a robe, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, ear plugs and a blow dryer. It is recommended to float in the nude, but you can bring a change of clothes for after your session. If you wear contacts we recommend you bring your case and solution.

How do I prepare to float?

Here are some recommendations:

Refrain from drinking caffeine for a few hours prior to your session. Eat something light about an hour before your session because an empty stomach can be distracting. We recommend you do not shave or wax before you float (minimum of 4 hours prior) the salt can irritate freshly shaved skin.

 

What if I'm claustrophobic?

You have the option to leave the lid open and/ or leave the light on. 

Remember, you’re always in control of the pod and you can get out at any time.

Can I float while I'm menstruating?

Yes.

Just follow the same precautions you would if you were going swimming or in a hot tub.

Can I float while I'm pregnant?

It is always best to check with your health care provider first, for any conditions that might be specific to you.

However, many women have no problems floating through their pregnancy and some have said it relieves a lot of aches and pains and helps them bond with their baby.

Is the float pod water filtered?

Yes.

The water is filtered four times between each session, utilizing ultra violet filtrations, ozone sanitation and hydrogen peroxide. This combined filtration system removes bacteria and other possible contaminants.

 

Can I drown if I fall asleep while floating?

No.

Some people fall asleep, but the water is so dense with salt, you will stay afloat.

What if I color my hair?

If you color your hair Red we require you to wait 30 days to float and we require you towear a swim cap while floating (we provide swim caps). of hair for many weeks, which can damage our float pods.

Can two people float in one pod at the same time?

No.

While 2 people could fit in our pods, we only allow 1 person per pod at a time. We do have two pods if you would like to float at the same time.

What is cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy is a fast and healthy process that accelerates the body’s natural recovery while improving overall well – being and energizing the body. Cryotherapy is a completely dry, noninvasive, hyper-cooling process that can lower a person’s skin temperature to 30°F during a session of up to 180 seconds.

 

What are the benefits of cryotherapy?

How often should I do cryotherapy?

We recommend every other day for your first 10 days or 10 times in your first 30 days.

What should I wear and bring to cryotherapy?

We provide you with a robe to change into as well as gloves, socks, and boots. For men, underneath your robe we recommend wearing only your boxers or briefs. For women underneath your robe we recommend only undergarments. Please note there can be no metal worn in the cryotherapy chamber so avoid any kind of underwire. Any jewelry from the neck down should be removed before entering the chamber.

What is local cryotherapy?

Localized cryotherapy is the application of cryogenically cooled air to specific parts of the body. Localized cryotherapy can also be used to alleviate pain, inflammation and speed up recovery from injuries through cryogenically cooled air penetrating deeper into the layers of tissue and increasing blood circulation. Sessions range from 4-30 minutes depending on the body part.

What are cryotherapy facials?

Beauty treatments such as °CRYO Facials or cellulite reduction use localized cryotherapy technology. The facials increase the collagen production in the skin and leaves the skin visibly smoother with a restored youthful glow.
